Business Unit Food Systems supplies state-of-the-art solutions for processing food and beverage products. Our solutions are skid-mounted modules, process units and complete production lines, based on Alfa Laval’s key technologies, engineered to our customer’s needs. All modules and systems are project managed, engineered, sourced, supplied and commissioned by our global Engineering & Supply team, working out of eight offices across the world. Procurement plays a key role in delivering competitive solutions to our customers globally.
About the job
The overall objectives are to improve competitiveness and sustainability in supply of materials and services. As Supplier & Contract Manager you will be responsible for a large portfolio of suppliers delivering to our global projects. You will work with buyers in Procurement as well as internal stakeholders to understand business needs, and you will develop supplier relationships and supplier performance accordingly. You will negotiate and improve contracting and secure that suppliers comply to Alfa Laval Business Principles. Continuous improvement is our way of working, and you will play a key role in making our supply base stronger for the future. Primary tasks include:
- Negotiate supplier contracting and price agreements.
- Develop Alfa Laval preferred suppliers.
- Challenge suppliers on sustainability as well as quality, delivery, and cost.
- Manage supplier data compliance.
- Identify improvement opportunities.
- Lead supplier monitoring and performance reporting
- Perform supplier audits
What you know
You have commercial background with a relevant procurement related education and +5 years’ experience from international companies. Excellent English language skills, both verbally and in writing.

To be successful in this position you must be a proactive, solution- and result-oriented team player and an excellent communicator. You have significant experience with contract management, supplier development and commercial negotiation. You thrive collaborating with suppliers to improve supply chain performance and you seek the best possible solutions with an optimistic and positive mindset.
