Association for Gender Awareness & Human Empowerment (AGAHE) is national non-government organization (NGO) established in 2007 under the Societies Act, 1860 with a vision to ‘create an enabling environment for vulnerable segments of society where they can utilize their full potential for improvement in their lives and have equal opportunities to safeguard their rights’. AGAHE is looking for the services of a suitable candidate for its project on Scaling Up of Zinc Wheat in South Punjab against the following position:

Relevant Experience & Skills Required:

5 years experience of managing the Agriculture and Sustainable Livelihoods sector on lead positions.

Sound knowledge of agriculture especially on wheat crop.

Proven ability to work with diverse networks and partners to achieve common goals

Ability to distill complex information and produce a variety of written and visual communications materials in a clear and concise style

Ability to work under pressure, for extended hours, and to meet tight deadlines without compromising the quality of outputs

Excellent report writing and communication skills.

Proficient in MS Office and computer skills.

Job Description:

Project Planning: Developing a detailed project plan that outlines the tasks, timelines, resources, and deliverables required to successfully scale up biofortified zinc wheat.

Stakeholder Engagement: Establishing relationships with key stakeholders, including farmers, researchers, government agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and private sector partners to ensure project success.

Project Execution: The project manager should oversee the implementation of the project, ensuring that it meets quality standards, is completed on time, and within budget.

Risk Management: Identifying potential risks to project success and developing mitigation strategies to address them.

Innovation and Adaptation: Encouraging innovation and adaptation in project strategies to ensure that the project remains relevant and effective in achieving its goals.

Knowledge Management: Ensuring that project knowledge is captured, stored, and shared effectively with project stakeholders.

Coordination: The project manager should coordinate with various teams involved in the project, including researchers, agronomists, extension workers, and field staff. The project manager should ensure that all team members are working together to achieve the project goals.

Budget Management: The project manager should oversee the budget and ensure that the project is running within the allocated funds. This may involve making decisions about resource allocation and finding cost-effective solutions to problems that arise during the project.

Communication: The project manager should communicate with stakeholders, including donors, government agencies, and other organizations involved in the project. This may involve creating reports, attending meetings, and providing updates on the project's progress.

Capacity Building: The project manager should identify capacity gaps among the project team and work to build their skills and knowledge. This may involve training sessions, workshops, or mentoring programs.
