About the role
In this role, you will be responsible in the delivery of high quality fabrication work on several different assets, including water, recycled water, sewer treatment plants, pump stations and other assets to fulfil the customer’s needs.
You will ensure the highest standard of quality workmanship and exercise judgement to ensure reliable operation and/or fabrication of Barwon Water’s supply and sewerage facilities.
About you
As a Fabricator, you enjoy working as part of a collaborative team and with your excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, you can build strong relationships with the confidence to work autonomously, contributing to the overall team goal.
You’re safety focused, motivated, and able to work according to operating procedures whilst proactively identifying problems and developing innovative solutions, with a real drive for continuous improvement.
Your trade qualifications in fabrication will be put the test as you are able to work autonomously in this fast paced setting. With strong computer skills, the ability to learn and use new technologies in the delivery of services to clients, you are capable of interpreting engineers drawings.
What we’re looking for
- You have a technical trade, Certificate III in Engineering e.g. Fabrication, with experience in Stainless steel and Aluminium Mig & Tig welding
- A strong willingness to learn a new role, with previous experience in providing fabrication solutions in an industrial and commercial work environment would be considered advantageous
- Highly motivated to work safely and identify issues
- Attention to detail and produce a high-quality product
- Collaborative team member who works extremely well in team environments and able to work autonomously
- An ability for reading/interpreting engineering drawings correctly
- A current Victorian driver’s license is a mandatory requirement
- A pre-employment medical (including a health, drug and alcohol assessment) is required.
